The Issyk-Kul Lake, located in the Tian Shan mountains, is the second-largest alpine lake in the world and an extraordinary natural wonder. Situated in northeastern Kyrgyzstan, it stretches 182 kilometers in length, 60 kilometers in width, and reaches depths of up to 668 meters, lying at an altitude of 1,607 meters above sea level. The name translates to "warm lake." It features crystal-clear waters and is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and a diverse ecosystem. The lake is a popular summer vacation spot for Kyrgyz people and the region is also rich in history, with ancient petroglyphs and historical sites around the lake.
