The Hisor Mountains are an approximately 200-kilometer-long mountain range extending between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. They are part of the Pamir-Alay system. For a long time, the highest point was considered to be Hazrat Sultan (4,643 m). However, the recently identified Alpomish Mountain (4,668 m) is 25 meters higher and now holds that title. To the north, the range borders the Fan Mountains in Tajikistan.
