Tilek Omurzakov

He was already with us on our very first tour in 2014, back then as the driver for transporting the 14 mountain bikes. It quickly became clear that Tilek was capable of much more and had bigger aspirations. In the meantime, he has led more mountain biking tours in Kyrgyzstan than Epic Trails founder Stefan. He built the Eco Village Lodge in Yeti Oguz, which he runs with his wife Diana. Tilek has an incredibly vast network of family and friends, not only in Yeti Oguz, his hometown, but all over. This greatly enriches all our tours, as he incorporates local knowledge and offerings. In winter, he earns his living as a ski touring guide. From 2017 to 2024, he completed training as an internationally recognized ski instructor through the Kyrgyz-Swiss ski school project. As a father of four children and the oldest of five siblings, he is also a true family man.
