A trip we will remember for a very long time We have travelled to quite a few places over the years, but our cycling trip through Kyrgyzstan with Epic Trails was genuinely something special. It is difficult to point to just one thing that made it so memorable. Of course, the landscapes are spectacular — huge mountains, endless valleys, remote villages and places where you sometimes feel very far away from the rest of the world. But it was also the combination of cycling, meeting people, the different places we stayed and never quite knowing what the next day would bring. Some days were challenging, some were simply beautiful, and quite a few were both. That is exactly what we hoped this trip would be. What we also really liked about Epic Trails is that the journey never felt too polished or touristy. It still felt like travelling and discovering a country, while at the same time knowing that everything was well organised behind the scenes. For us, that was a perfect balance. And then there were Artiom and Dölöt. They really became part of the experience. Both are warm, relaxed and genuinely nice people to have around. There was always time for a laugh, a conversation or a helping hand when needed. Spending so many days together could easily have felt intensive, but with them it was simply enjoyable. We couldn't have wished for better company along the way. We also appreciated the personal contact with Epic Trails and the flexibility whenever something needed to be arranged or changed. It never felt like dealing with a large travel company, but with people who genuinely wanted us to have a great trip. And we certainly did. Kyrgyzstan is a remarkable country, and seeing so much of it from a mountain bike made the experience even more special. We came home with many great memories and the feeling that this was much more than just another cycling holiday. A fantastic journey with great people in an extraordinary country. We would happily travel with Epic Trails again.
